Tuesday is ANZAC Day and school will be closed. However we will be participating with all the other schools in the area in the ANZAC Day Parade. We need many students and families to come along. Let’s have a large crowd this year!

Our attendance at this parade has been a tradition that Wynnum West has followed for many years now and we do like to be well represented. Student leaders are expected to attend as part of their leadership roles at Wynnum West.

The parade will begin at Manly State School, Ernest Street, Manly and continue to Richard Russell Park, corner of Cambridge Parade and Ferguson Street, Manly.

Ms Amos, Mr Frazer and Mrs Davis and will be our contact points for this day.

We are looking forward to sharing this morning with our community to remember the service and sacrifice so many gave and continue to give to our countries.

Where: Parade will commence from Manly State School

Time: Please meet Mr Frazer, Mrs Davis and Ms Amos at 7:45am – the parade is scheduled to start at 8:00am sharp. The ceremony will take about an hour. Students will walk only 5 minutes down the road.

Attire: Full school uniform with school hat
