At Wynnum West State School we value our positive learning environment and therefore we work hard on our behaviour program to make sure it is always relevant and appropriate.  In Term 4, 2017 we are making some important changes to our Gold Class rewards program and to the Reflection Room process for the students who receive Orange and Red Slips. We are making changes, as we believe we always need to keep encouraging the students to follow the four school rules and make great behaviour choices. We are also striving to maintain a school with a positive behaviour environment.
Gold Class Rewards Day and Super Dragon Changes
Before Term 4 2017 students achieved Gold Class Level in our behaviour program when they had:
1)  No Red or 0-1 Orange Slips for the Term.
2)  Completed ALL Homework for the term INCLUDING HOME READING.
3)  No unexplained absences from school.
As of Term 4, students will need to meet the following criteria to achieve Gold Class Level.  To achieve Gold Class students will now need to have:
1)   NO BEHAVIOUR SLIPS.
2)    Completed ALL homework including daily Home Reading.
3)    No unexplained absences from school.
As part of our Rewards Day program, each class teacher also nominates 2 Super Dragons. In order to be a Super Dragon, students need to complete all of the following:
1)  No Red or Orange Slips for the Term.
2)  No name on board in class.
3)  No unexplained absences.
4)  Completed ALL Homework for the term INCLUDING READING.
5)  Neat bookwork for your year level expectations.
6)  Consistently dressed in full school uniform.
These criteria will remain unchanged but the change will be that there is only 1 Super Dragon per class.
