Our Prep Students will begin the
process of transitioning to the undercover area in the mornings.
From Monday 6 February (Week 3) there will be some changes
to our routines.
Ø Prep classroom doors will open at 8:45am – just
like the other classrooms. This is so
the Prep teachers are able to plan and prepare for the day. Prep
students will need to be dropped to the undercover area if arriving before
8:45am. It will still be a requirement
for them to be collected from their classroom at the end of the school day.
Three Morning Options for Prep Parents
Ø Prep students will go straight to the under-covered
area in the mornings with the other school students and wait there until their
teachers come to collect them (they will practise where to sit with their
teachers for the next week so they will be familiar with where to go and what
to do). Parents can choose to stay with
their child if they wish. The undercover
area is supervised from 8:15am though we recommend that Prep students come as
close to the bell as possible.
Ø Before School Care from 6:30am is available at
Helping Hands outside school hours and is situated in our school hall on
site. Helping Hands will walk the Prep
children to the undercover area where they will wait for their class teacher to
collect them.
Ø Parents can drop Prep students directly to the
classroom at 8:45am (no earlier please).
